  Back in 2012 one of the physicians here missed clear signs of my (now diagnosed) heart condition. Complained of ischemic chest pain (left side only, clearly angina), shortness of breath and exercise intolerance. Exercise spirometry test was administered in the office and showed no signs of EIA- in fact pulmonary function was considerably above average- despite the shortness of breath. And yet- I was given an albuterol inhaler, told I had EIA, and sent on my way. I was just diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome five years later, in 2017. You don't have to be a specialist, or even a physician, to know that if a patient has angina and breathing obstructions with clear percussion and auscultation and no diminished pulmonary function that something else is wrong. Not interested in litigation- just hope everyone in the practice reads this and chooses to take more time, think a little harder, and do a better job in the future.
